Welding wire blueprints have markup and can actually be sold in bulk (throughout the years, I've sold multiple portions of 10...50 PED tt at 120...180%).
Yes, I'd love a 'remix' blueprint that would use e.g. zorn, maladrite, aqeeq or other minerals from 'minor' planets but if it's not possible...
I vaguely remember that when Toulan was launched, for the first day or two it was all lyst and crude, too. Then suddenly local minerals started to appear. (Secondhand knowledge though, I arrived there a bit later)
The minerals disappeared about a week after I announced I was about to visit Cyrene. Coincidence?
Perhaps they're scared of rats. The minerals, I mean.
j/k
There is a scenario for it - if you only have done hg/rifle all your life and now want to get into melee or MF, it can help to raise hit a bit. But yes, a rare scenario, especially at this mob level.
The only significant change I'm aware of is the rising of Risen Island, which seems to contain most, if not all, local minerals.
LBML basemap hasn't been updated to include Carnap's Landing island either but there I haven't been able to find anything but crude/lyst.
I've been off the planet...
I had finished a stage with the counter not working and started the next one, with a working counter. (IIRC I'm around 3k/5k into it). I've never dropped any of dire weed missions.
So probably conditions are identical (or at least highly similar) but I might not make it to Cyrene next week (atm...
Dire weed A.R.C. challenge broker is Challenger Russell at Rookie Training Area, not A.R.C. Staging.
My optimistic guess is that reverting the mission to an earlier state might have fixed it for those who didn't drop it; I plan to check this next week.
I reckon those new level VII blueprints won't be easy to get one's paws on as you don't get that many clicks on local level IV+ blueprints.
In case anyone wants to click Mar-Lighter Davidov Blueprint, here are the necessary materials:
Angelic grit:
Durulium:
Haven't mined those regions...
Also, if we look at other planets, mission points aren't proportional to HP there either, for example:
Berycled (Calypso):
young - 70 HP, 2 mission points (0.02857 points/HP)
stalker - 560 HP, 12 mission points (0.02143 points/HP)
Ostelok (Arkadia):
young - 20 HP, 10 mission points (0.5000...
They have different loot table, not sure if you can get a flamethrower off youngs. :)
What makes these seem worthless is that there are too many of them, the same with purslane weed. IMHO the mechanics of those 'boss' spawns needs to be changed so that there is no more than one at a time.
My understanding is that, unlike other planets, on Cyrene large part of vegetation exists in the medium settings layer, and for low settings people the landscape is quite barren. Hence, in order to make harvestable trees, they need to make some more trees that are visible for everyone.
Sorry if...
Whenever I've checked global counts on EL, I've done so to find mobs that are little hunted, not intensively hunted.
Disclaimer: I'm also well aware EL is highly unreliable, so one needs to keep in mind not comparing apples to oranges.
There is a small object there, clicking on it gives you an achievement, and that's it.
It's somewhat hard to notice on the snow but it should still be there, unless more things have gone wrong than we know.
Doing it in a known problem area is about as smart as getting drunk in front of a police department. (Of course, there are some people who'd still do it :D) There aren't great many clicks being done in the area, so it shouldn't be hard for MA to check everyone at once.
IMHO, baseless "botting"...
