Sounds to me more like some people just don't like you, as when I asked I was told by a few folks what the ingredients were. I know a few other individuals who were helped as well when they requested information. Perhaps the way you asked? Would you like me to write a tutorial for you on that?

Me and Paulo worked on figuring out how to make it for week or so, acquiring most looted and crafted stuff there is on Cyre. And damn happy about finally getting my first 2 parts for the set.

This was indeed discovered and worked on not by me alone, but also my friend Elayne, who did most of the combining, crafting, and mixing, I worked more on the investigation I guess, but we both worked together to gather materials.

We both thrown PED towards this the moment I saw the armor and politelly aproached some of the Cyrene Pioneers, instead of being helpfull and sharing some info for newcomers to the planet, so they'd help to make the planet grow and people know what stuff are used for, I was rudelly answered and in the end, ignored when i asked about the HOW to make it, but yet i was offered to buy one of someone, but I shall not name people.

That was what lead me and Elayne to find out, even if it cost us more than the purchase price of a set.
We found out after a while, that the cyrenesecrets site, is kind of a joke in all due respect. It has a lot of decent info, no question about it, but there are people helping to fund this, and yet some "basic" info I found out to be kept hidden from the community, trying to keep the market for themselves, sure its a move, but no need to be rude about it, and when the planet has a rather weak playbase, its the wrong thing to do.

In a way I will have to say, I am thankfull for those people that were rude to me and others, and wanted to be greedy,
This felt like the best mission I've done in EU, I havent had this much fun for a long time, all the work around, material gathering, all was possible to be made by me, and some stuff not "hidden" in mobs i couldnt ever reach, made this very enjoyable because it felt we had a purpose, we needed stuff of each mobs to combine with other stuff, craft with other stuff and all. This made us to start loving the planet, even tho we hated how bad performance it had, now its enjoyable to stay and the whole way it works around together, makes it a plesant experience which i never expected.

If such info was shared, how the market can work here, im dead sure Cyrene would've been more popular by now, but this is too much of a secretive planet,
But as I am here, whatever secrets we find out being kept off us, we will work towards discovering it, this armor took only few days of work so we'd get all materials we tought we'd need and did the testing, there are more secrets being held from others, no question about it, this planet has plenty to offer, but all hidden.

Got to thank those that shown helpfull, provided some materials and accurate info.
After we complete the Imp BE set, we might leave for a while due to the ARC Initiate's mission issue.
If it gets reversed we think we found a good planet to stay.

And @harmony with all due respect,
You should ask your soc, they were the ones keeping this info from people and they "braged" on others face how they knew about it and only a "handfull of people can come across this info".

Just drop it all in a refiner with the armor, if the armor is low TT it will set it at max TT anyways so use the armor first before you upgrade.

You blame people who in fact helped you get the most fun time in a long time in EU?
And then you do the same to me? I can only assume you want me to have the most fun time too?

I find most people on cyrene being very forthcoming with information, if you're just polite and say thank you.

I had fun in fact Harmony, but again, I knew and making the calcs about costs and how much it'd take me to cycle to get a bit of each material to get, I knew i had the pedroll for it, but I know a lot just come to visit the planet with few hundred PED and if fun, they will blast them there,
For me was a good thing because I liked to find more about Cyrene, i never put that much effort towards the planet, and experiencing this made me see how underrated this planet is, and how stuff need to be told so this planet grows.

Off all the PP besides calypso, Arkadia is the one leading, Cyrene could easilly match it or overtake it with the complexity and how well everything relates, but again, some are willing to find out, some rather see whats fun to do and then come and check.

Arkadia was an example of that, brought tons of people to grind stuff for visceroy, and ended up staying liking what they hunted. But ofc, this is my analysis, I could and might be wrong ofc, I got no problem admiting such

What i devalue is the fact I was spoken rudely when I asked nicelly about stuff to people that I knew that knew something.
Others such as Thaddeus were heavilly helpfull with what they knew and since they were, I gave the favor back.

And lets face it, its not even that of an amazing set, I just like the looks and stats, for what I hunt and with my fap, I won't need more protection than it since to hunt most stuff I hunt in Adj Pixie

This is one of the unique things about this armor that I like, it IS a mission and yes you DO have to work at it. Some of the stuff may be above your head and you need help getting it, (or you can buy your way to fame and fortune as others have)

In a way I kind of understand those who busted their ass finding the ingredients and all not wanting to share the info with the entire world first out. THEY dumped all their ped into the initial discovery, and you want them to do all the work and just tell you then? Let them sell a few sets of the armor to recoup some of what they put in to discover it, then share it. It's called free market, you don't see restaurants sharing their 'secret recipes' that keep people coming back to them now do you? Hey McDonalds I don't want to pay YOUR price, I want to make my own big macs, and possibly sell them for cheaper than you do too, can I get your secret sauce recipe to do that?

As has been mentioned by some before about the armor firestorm, ... folks will just come in and buy out the TT of it then flip it for huge profits and *I* won't get mine. Granted this is a bit different mission but what makes you think something of the sort wouldn't happen here? Actually keeping it somewhat secret I think kept it a bit more fun, and kept the challenge in it for folks.

You worked hard at getting it, you FINALLY got it all together and now the 'knowledge' is yours as well. Don't you have a sense of accomplishment for this? Doesn't that make you feel good? Isn't it kind of cool? Doesn't it make the place fun? Throwing the info up there right away would have taken all of that away from you.

Some things I think folks should discover on their own in game, either by experimentation like you did, or asking the right folks. It keeps the fun in there, unless you are one of those who demand instant appeasement. Otherwise hey lets just award everyone every mission there is upon login.

Oh and have fun crafting the rest of your armor, yep, some of those parts are a real bugger to get!

Manique, your assessment is pretty accurate about Cyrene, and yes Ark too. Cyrene has huge potential if they don't piss it away. You say folks you knew .. knew info were rude to you when you asked? Did you know them personally or just knew they had info and were supposed to just give it to you.. ie a stranger merely because you wanted it? You will find that some info is common knowledge in the game and most are more than happy to share it, other info, ie mission secrets, etc, is not so common and those who did discover it, want to know you a bit before divulging that info. Again, it is about PED, this is a real cash economy, if I am only a handfull of folks who can make this stuff, I can make a profit off it, if everyone knows then my profits are down. You are a potential competitor, you want MY info, well what's in it for me is a typical response for things that can cost a person money.

Finally, you will find rude people everywhere, Cyrene does not have a monopoly on that. Maybe folks think you are rude for just showing up and wanting all this info out of thin air, and that is why they didn't give it to you? I don't know, just throwing that out there. Also, if the armor is mediocre anyways why all the butt hurt then? A bit of ego bruising maybe?

sluggo, you got a point, but still wont justify for the pioneers to be rude to the newcomers to the planet, they need people here to make it happen.
And after seeing how complex the list is, i seriously dont think it'll hurt the market somehow, its too much of a long run for most, most would rather throw the ped at it and buy it for what it is than spend a lot of time doing this. And it'd be even more frustrating that some got out of ped or something and have all trapped and still havent figured out how to do it. it'd be frustrating and make some leave the planet for good.
I just believe it to be for common good.

I aproached the people since I saw their names pinned being Cyrene Pioneers, since I didnt know most I was as polite as I could, and didnt just ask tht like "give me reciple or gtfo" I asked if it'd be ok to share info about it, i was mocked in a way how it works or not so to speak, even the simple fact i'd need to put it on the refiner they wouldnt tell me that, and after that, they offered me to sell one after some bitterness of their end.

As I said, the planet needs the players, and players wanting to keep it all for themselves, wont make the planet economy to grow nor the planet go anywhere. Shamefull this Armor thing (the badge one) if not fixed will destroy the planet, otherwise i could see the planet grow really fast in the coming period, the performance made this so much more plesant to stay that i cant stress it enough.

Sure its RCE World, no question about it, but its uncalled for, since the margin isnt quite that big on that armor if there's any to be honest at this moment, I didnt run the math, We ( me and Elayne who worked for this) lack materials to complete the full sets now, once we're done we'll prolly see what a fair price to sell the sets for can be and if someone wants, and if its reasonable for both ends we could prolly work on it, since atm with the material hoarding we got spare.

I am agreeing with you actually Manique, putting out info IS a good thing, but in it's proper time. Some stuff needs to 'stew' a while before it is just finally thrown out there.

You say they were rude to you, I can agree it is not needed in many circumstances. There are some folks who are douches though and don't deserve any respect.

Here's playing devils advocate. Were they rude as in F-you go away rude, or just a sensed 'attitude' of rudeness? I don't know who you talked to or what the conversation was but DO KNOW that there are folks from all over the world here and sometimes the nuances of english are not fully understood by them. (english is a f'd up language anyways!!) and while what they said, how it appeared they said it may come across as rude, they were NOT intending it to sound rude. Some people are overly sensitive too. Can you give me that info? .. No, Why not? because I don't want to... WAAH!!! YOU ARE RUDE!!!!.. not rude at all, short and to the point, no drama.

In not saying that it didn't happen but for the most part, the 'real' cyrene regulars, not just the old time players, are pretty nice to folks unless there is something else going on. Sometimes the folks you are hanging out with can affect others views of you as well. That old saying, you are judged by whom you hang out with comes to mind.

Manique, the cyrene pioneers thing, in the forum here, is just a label. It really means nothing towards a persons 'status' in here. You have the label too if you look

IF you are going to sell your armor, I would strongly suggest you do it sooner than later, because now that the cat is fully out of the bag, it will be like everything else 'new' that hits the market, you ride the wave down. Look at those EP blueprints for example. In the first week they were selling for like 100 to 150 ped each for some, now they are like 8 ped for one that has been worked up quite a bit as well!

In fact here's an idea. Wait until after the VU, if they do screw us over as planned, that armor may be selling for a premium since it 'went away' and is fairly good for what it is. A bit of creative marketing and you could make some nice ped to play with. Selling the controversial I HATE YOU CYRENE YOU ASSHOLES armor!! xx ped, pm me
