Cyrene Clothing

In my opinion Cyrene is Graphically and creatively the most appealing planet in game. From day one I was very happy to arrive on Cyrene and see that the Mobs were awesome looking, I was so tired of the lame looking creatures on calypso. I love the imperiums, zeladoths, fenris, wiles and lots of others, I also love the planets unique landscapes and structures. This planet rocks plain and simply visually.
However now after seeing the new clothes I want to give my opinion. I'm kinda disappointed actually, I had hoped for some kool clothes that weren't the metro homo euro look like calys clothes. For god sake is it to much to ask for that the clothes for men not be spandex ffs. All players playing this game aren't from countries where the men wear womens clothes. I for one refuse for my avatar to wear spandex or womens skinny pants. And when did neon clothes become popular.
Come on devs give us just some kool man clothes that don't hug our nuts.

I don't fully know the limitation of the clothing system, however, we are definitely open to doing more kinds of clothing for males (and females) that are not so....restrictive on certain genital areas, when I have more info from our 3D guys or MA's 3D guys I will offer some more info/possibilities for the future.

Hey Kris,

Don't think hes worried about the clothing on the genital areas. I think what he is requesting clothing more baggy and not tight wet suits. Right now I'm thinking waste lander mad max style clothing 'Turrelion BP' Book of course ^^

It would be better to have more clothes generally that are not skin tight. However my BIGGEST gripe with Entropia clothes ever since vu9 has been the silly "mountain boobs" look. I just think it makes the artists look rubbish... like they are unable to observe the real world. I also feel it generally downgrades the respectability of the game. The SIMPLE fact is that real life clothes do NOT behave in that way... to do so you would need fitted clothes or maybe double sided sticky tape...

To illustrate what I mean, compare the standard oranges of vu 8 and vu 9-14+

I completely agree with Wistrel.(Very well said, Wisty! ) I want to see real clothing on real bodies. I'm really sick of stuff that's increasingly designed (and re-designed) to show off and even exaggerate the stupid Barbie Doll body I wound up with (yeah, despite selecting the smallest breasts available, they still resemble torpedoes, especially when dressed! )

And neither are we all from from countries where the women look and dress like comic-book fantasies! (do such countries really exist?) Your idea that it's OK for women but not men...well , well that's the kind of sexist crap that lay behind the original comic-book look in the first place. So it's kinda gratifying if it finally rebounds on you guys

Gotta say, I was hopeful of seeing clothing that resembles that Silverstich armour (leaving out the facemask ).

Hell, it would be nice just to see some "Sports shirts" that hang loose outside the pants like they used to... and that don't have two large bags of sugar stuffed down the front.

Obviously some of this is a platform issue *sigh * We really need MA to sack that over-sexed fourteen-year-old designer they got now.

PS. I do hope that MA dev's follow Wistrel's link. Looks to me, from that selection, that at least 90% of women DON'T tuck their tops into their pants and skirts...unless they are in EU and given absolutely no choice in the matter

Its a good point although I try to keep my requests hopefully within reason. I imagine it would be a ton of work to get everything like that. I just hoped maybe we could do something about the unrealistic fit of the base clothes.... or if nothing else fix the t shirt. I used to really like the loose fitting autumn batic shirt I had pre vu 14. Hardly worn it since cause of the bizarre boobs thing it picked up. Still that is getting OT as Cyrene are not responsible for that. They could maybe have a word with MA though about the standard model for tops being weird though. Especially since everyone is using it.

Well I had several T-shirts I used to really like and stopped wearing...and not just because of the boobs thing. They used to hang outside my pants, now they don't, and I don't like them that way (besides the textures on them being buggered)

Actually I don't think it's asking too much of MA for them to put things back the way were before vu 14. If that's too much work, then vu 14 should never have been implemented. Most of this shit that people complain about happened then. Many items were fine before that, but now suddenly everything is tight-fitting, tucked-in, with enhanced boobs etc.

Yep, Cyrene have to use the same models, i believe, so it is relevant to Cyrene (though certainly not their fault)

Please post before-and-after pics of that shirt(and any other changes that piss you off) on my bug overview thread (not letting MA forget this )

Thanks for the reply, but I think you missed my point, and that you're a lot more sexist than you realise. lol. It's not just about the torpedo boobs. In what sense are clothes that are designed to hug your plastic figure "women's clothes"? (your exact words)

Irrespective of country of origin, only a minority of women IRL want to dress like porn stars or comic-book characters. And guess what? Same applies here (though the effect can be distorted by she-males who get off on looking at their avatar's bum ). To dismiss such clothing as "women's clothes" (as if that's the sort of thing that real women wear ) is indeed sexist. Think about it!

PS and do check out Fith's link. Those are randomly selected real women's clothes. Do they look like EU clothes? No.

sorry for the delayed response to your believing I am a sexist jay.
I could honestly could careless what womens clothes in eu look like as im not a chick that's for you to argue with MA about if you want that to change. But a lot of women in real life do wear tighter cloths then males and that's a fact such as skinny jeans and tighter tops, now of course there are those dikish exceptions or chubsters that shouldn't wear figure flattering clothing and maybe you fall into that insecure category however then again that's for you to debate lol not me. Also if I am correct you are a tailor in game and make and sell a lot of clothes to the pervy guys you speak of playing female avatars to stare at their bums so you may not want to bash your cliental. Any way to restate my original point I was just wondering if us guys could get some looser fitting clothes that weren't spandex or neon. And if jay want to protest on behalf of vitual women everywhere then maybe appease her aswell with some butch clothing.
