well ello'
i was thinking what to say to be constructive and to keep a critical eye while i say what i feel after the first week since the most awaited armor in this game was let say re-released, once again
yeah, i m not mistaken when i say is the most wished set someone could dream of, and to support this all i can say i m playing in my stolen for 95% of my time ( despite i have a full set of Mod Shadow Armor ), and i only can imagine how would be when i will get my hands on a Perf Imperium Set.
but until that point ( which at the current state will not be possible in next 5 years )
- about badges -
these badges supposed to release some of the pressure is put for the rare components, while the semi rares ones can be collected over time, more or less whit a bit of struggle, and determination, but instead the badges became useless, and i admit i didn't even blink so far to get a single one, and have been passed a week already.
why? well because is not important to me and for most of the peeps is just a mean to an end that can be achieved while u have a friend who will have them at some point, or let say at the current rate of pristine drops... is not even a struggle anymore, is not a race, is just as it is, means to fill info for a list of things u might need, but the speed and rush fade away badly
so while a friend is more into this badge thing than me, and he can turn the materials i have for a desired part, i can find my own way thru this universe peacefully and collect other stuffs that have a decent drop rate, and participate in any event that is out there,
forgive me my blunt perspective but is what most of the ppl think, and is not to be blamed at all
when i advances an idea about using the badges i was thinking to imitate the Mtokens/Rare Tokens used in Mayhem events + some components that were added after completing some large number of killpoints for the mobs involved in each stage i would say, similar to the zorra/tanhook tokens ( this would have been the Cyrene's signature used in high end missions ) + the Pristines that would have been rare, not extremely rare as they are now.
using the badges would have kept ppl on cyrene for long long times, u can make badges but u cannot sale them, just what u make with them can be sold, and beside that maybe, the kill points for tokens would have given them the means to hunt for hire cause those mobs involved in the process would've been hunted intensively, to make the i.e. "Paneleon kill token", "tide claw kill token" and so on....
well here was the starting point for my thoughts
but still,.... to get inside the hub just to get near the NPC/Terminal should be ONLY by the badge requirement, and only by that,
and further more if u want the armor u should spend the badges u collected so far............
...........................
so, using A.R.C. Badges to make the set should have been by default, and for a new set ppl should grind more badges for those who want a new set to sell it, or make a business out of it.
- about the windows of hunting -
is not a secret that ppl are actively and intensively involved in the Eu events and from 365 days if Cyrene has nothing like platinum to offer ppl would not sit on the planet to participate from here to the mayhems, they are going to calypso to play mayhems, and this affects the general economy because while many ppl are here, the need to supply the AH/Vendors/shops will grow, if they are not..well ppl that are here are forced to fly there for what they need and at some point they quit, is unproductive to fly back and forth to get 2 amps and 3 dmg enh.
from 52 weeks the major events takes place 20 weeks are booked, so are left 32 weeks to achieve something here
Xmas - 5 weeks
Easter - 2 weeks
Summer - 3 weeks
Halloween - 2 weeks
Migration - 6-8 weeks
.... and if 5 - 6 pristine components are droped/week, this task is going to be absurd.
in conclusion the armor has shifted from a thing specifically to Cyrene natives and dedicated players to a general achievement that can be done without being involved at all in the planet life and concept, is just a buy in thing with a bit of help from a friend, even for a small fee if is the case.
idk what future brings, but seems the way things were handled by MA is more like a foot in the balls to a problem that got surface at some point, and for the yuge amount of reviews that came soon after the second "stolen" phase this was the right saying to the problem in a manner of
"this is our deal now, not a cyrene thing anymore, we give u what we want & what we think is best , how often we want and when we want it"... rest is pure chit chat
