Imperium Tokens

I hurried to Cyrene from Caly after the latest updates :)

I have been building Imperium tokens going back and forth from Caly over the past few months. Can't remember the exact amount but I'm sure I had over 50, but when first visiting storage there are only 6 there.

All Tokens now have higher value so it can become a commodity. Its happening on all planets , each planets wants there own individual means of currency. Arkadia has Arcoins, Neverdie has something different (cant remember what), and Cyrene has the Imperium Token. Cause its a real cash economy i think the imperium token is 3pec or something have to check when i get back on. Arcoins is 1pec per peice, Its a way for planet partners to make there own additions to the planet equipment wise , and so they give out gifts, so I assume they pay mindark the value of token through player actvity so they can do whatever they want without effect the value of the PED. Arkadia is giving away 1,000,000 arcoins to the finder of the golden key, at 1pec value thats 10,000 PED, so Arkadia would pay Mindark through player activity 1000USD, so the PED always maintains its value, Arcoins and Imperium Tokens have fluctuating market rates. Theres a catch to the Golden Key though when crafted you have to use metal ressidue to the value of 1000PED TT, or craft the key at a % of the TT of the materials then repair to 1000PED before you get your 10,000PED worth in Arcoins..

However Calypso is run by Mindark and there token value has to be 0.001 PED. I wonder what the value of neverdie token is now (or Neverdie coins). But I know for a fact after this VU Arcoins earned in instances and maybe missions after the rebalance have a TT value of 0.01PED, and Cyrene has something like 0.03 or something (ill get accurate amount when i log on this evening). This may lead also to a barter system on the planet. Again the idea is for the planet partners to reward the players on there planet without effecting the value of the PED. For Entropia to survive the PED must remain a fixed rate. Second Life doesnt have a fixed rate, thats why the PED is the most superior virtual currency in the world, and Mindark will make sure its fixed for years to come.

cheers:)

The Imperium Tokens where accidentally changed when we added in new types of mission tokens. These changes will be fixed with the mini patch and they will be added back to their normal numbers. This was also the reason the old Imperium Token missions are bugged. They will also be fixed for the mini patch.

thanks for the update , at first I thought you changed the value of the token.. But it seems the Imperium Token will keep its previous value. Still the token rewards are great and now with the missions even better.

Its really looking like different races on Cyrene will have there own currency this is very unique and extremely interesting.

Zyn'Kimbro Token
Imperium Token
Maybe even the Tanhok Token in the full launch
maybe more ?

Looking forward to the mini-patch hopefully its tonight.

Thanks Ed for the explanation above. It does help understand why things were not working, so even though I'm not on Cyrene right now, it helps me gauge when to put in my next visit :)
