Is full launch of Cyrene delayed?

Not to criticize, but the Full Launch before Comic con is definitely out, but there's no statement about it is kind of bad. I think official knew this much earlier than us players. you should post a thread like the full launch will not happen in Middle July because of .... and new date will be revealed later. Not like the way it is now, nothing said from officials. For me the good communication of Arkadia and Cyrene is a big advantage, so don't forget it please.

Please be patient it will be worth it in the long run and as for newbie’s do as I do and many others try to reinforce the newbie’s with as much information as you can as to how a "Soft Launch" works and that not all soft launches go fast, all of us "Older" players have knowledge about this game that can greatly help new ppl IF we ALL just help to spread that information sure we will lose some impenitent ppl but I really believe WE can help to retain many

Patience is not the issue. If people are informed of action planned for a point in time, then just letting that point slip past without even a short message before or even after it is at the very least impolite....

Not being set in stone is no excuse for not at least keeping people informed about a delay...

Your posts are noted and we thank you for the patience as well as understand the frustration. I wish I could give more detail but certain things happen and sometimes I cannot control it all.

I will be working harder with Lykke to bring you all the information I can faster. I have taken these comments into our meeting to let everyone know it is very important to improve on this. Even though we are mostly concentrating on new players in our upcoming hard launch (currently testing out certain markets and media options), we need to keep the current players or the few new players who have been coming in, much better informed.

Thanks for the fast response Ed. For me it's not about providing all the information you can faster. It's about providing some information at a relevant time, even if other information needs to be held back etc.
And the best advertising for new players to actually stay once in, is still the word of mouth of happy people already here (but they need to know stuff and be able to say why things are not working (yet), plus some half-way reliable timetables). The planet will need people staying to keep other people staying too - the retention rate will be very important for a planet seriously wanting new players and will have a positive feedback loop on itself if you can break a certain threshold!

It's good that Cyrene had a soft launch etc etc but, I feel it should NOT be available to new players yet. As many people have stated, the new players soon become dissapointed and many are never seen again. I have noticed this from helping new players on Cyrene myself. Added them into friends list and they never log back in.
Hope the full launch is sooner rather than later.

I'm guessing here that VU13 will bring out Cyrene. Unless MA pull that trick saying that they can't since they need to work out the NI issue first. But I'm guessing that Cyrene is going to be out in the August release. Mind you been guessing this for a while..so if it's not then welll, please don't call me any bad names.

VU13 will NOT have taming
VU13 may have Cyrene
VU13 may have fishing?
Vu13 will have the rest of what ever the flash spam bot ad feature they been working on so hard with the first part being already installed this last big VU
VU13 still will have crappy loot
VU13 will see a big bug in the globalling system
and VU13 will still allow us to log off while in space

Actually.... thats a point. The "guess the launch date" compo was bunk cause we were all basing our theories on a real launch (well at least I was) and not a beta run. I originally guessed september I think... so there is a chance I might still be closer than I though =D

As for taming I don't think we will get that till they change the avatars.

O yes, forgot about our avatars! Yes, VU13 will have the largest avatar upgrade ever! We will get thumbnails!

Unknown about NI and that of course is an issue of itself. I sure hope it works itself out with the staff being let go, as claimed by Meg.

Maybe instead of bothering to fix all the issues, they scrapped it and brought in all new stuff? Is always possible and sometimes much easier to do than fixes and bandaids piled ontop of each other.
