Is there a working 5k challenge or Cyrene is under alt attack?

Probably most of the regular players on Cyrene noticed sudden large Imperium Token offers in auction from the same player so I wanted to know if there is any 5k challenge working that i don't know about? There are only 2 options how to get over 1,4k tokens - either you get token rewards for those 5k challenges (i want to believe that we would get a decent amount of them for 5k kills) or player has to use alts. It's not possible to get over 1,4k tokens doing all 12 daily mission right from the Cyrene start as some materials like Blue Crystals or Kaisenite Ingots were very rare from the start not to mention several days when none of these missions worked. Also token reselling is out of the question because Imperium Token price has never been so low as it is now.

The 5k crystal pede mission is working and promises something like 325 tokens.

I don't know where you get the idea that token prices have never been lower than now, unless 'now' is the price being asked by that player, which I haven't seen. Otherwise I think auction history does show a dip that we have been climbing back out of recently.

i noticed the influx of tokens also. and had some concerns at first when i heard the person say they had 1k on them and i noticed in auction 10-20 secs later that there was another 400-500 token from the same person listed.

for a moment i paused and wandered what nefarious schemes and/or mechanisms said person put in to motion to achive such a wealth of wealth, but the thought quickly flee'd my mind when i realized cyrene staff would notice avatars giving tokens from one account to another free of charge... and really they in all reality could just be uber dedicated.

so problem solved.

Well they probably could but why would they (if not for this thread), in the last few days i made multiple trades with values of more then several hundreds peds without the other party putting anything in the trade window (going both way, me giving and me getting stuff). Trading a few low tt tokens will never get attention unless they are really looking into it. Which they might after seeing this thread.

Then again buying tokens from other players at teleports might get you 1k tokens within a few days?

well as to why they might notice or care if they do care, is that it is a mission reward limited by # of mission per day creating scarceity.

one reason they might not care is that it takes more tt pec in that it gives out. at least at the mission lvl, dont know about rewards.

and it could be possible to get them from other players, my self being a natural hoarder i understand how this could be possible.
