Monria Field Trip April 11th 2020

Hey guys,

MS9 (DME to some) is going to be coming again to Cyrene on a field trip for the Monria born players this coming weekend. >>LINK<<

She's asked me to come and spawn some mobs again, to which I'm happy to do, however I never received any sort of official confirmation about the issue with the large no-looters last time, however, my cohort, Lilmc, is actually the one who has a pretty good theory as to why this happened last time: now that healers get a piece of the pie when an official is healing it can get borked out.

So the plan is that for sure I'll spawn mobs from 14:00 to 16:00 in game at the Ice Plateau TP (the usual spot) but before we get rolling we'll ask the participants:
(1) I still do the AoE healing;
(2) they take care of their own healers or having someone heal them;
(3) I only heal a certain area and they have to come to it to get healed

I also wanted to make this thread to that way players can chime in as well as make sure there's advanced notice for anyone Cyrene players who want to join in.

Looking forward to seeing you guys in game this weekend.

Cheers,
Kris

Thank you very much Kris for alerting your Cyrene community of this event. As always, the Cyrene community is welcome to join us at any time during the weekend while we are running our field trip agenda, but definitely during your hosting of the 2 hour mob spawn event.

We really appreciate that you do this, and hopefully everyone will be prepared with their own healing or healers as a result of what happened the last time with the no looters, if in fact Lilmc's theory is correct. We'll just have to see how it goes, and hopefully it will be better this time, but it's always fun, and a huge treat for our Monrian Borns who get to experience this as well.

A lot of us on Monria love Cyrene, and we will continue to do our field trips for sure. :)

Hey bella,

hmm .not good idea to heal us if problem is with chip .

To be clear: the theory is that isn't not an issue with the chip, the healing avatar being an Official is the problem.

If we get few no loot again people gone be piss off ,they havent forgot about last time , and if they got burned again planet risk lose alot of reputation

Of course, I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I also don't want to detract from any players who wish to take the risk of it for the added benefit of being healed.

I still think the best course of action is to let the players know the risk and let them decide if they'd like to pursue it.

Cheers,
Kris

Thanks again Kris for taking the time to hang out with us during our Cyrene field trip and for hosting your special event on Saturday ... I think it turned out a lot better this time, and there was that really nice HoF in there of 2.9k, but other nice HoFs as well.

It actually looks like the theory about field healing by an official disrupting the loot like last time might have some truth to it, because this time it seemed like everything was going very well. Our crew from Monria really enjoyed themselves, and it was nice to see the Cyrene community and others join the hosted event too.

We love Cyrene, and it's always a good time when we go there.

Thank You ... and I didn't have to :ms9d: anyone, LOL. :p
