Official Cyrene event

It seems there is lack of tools to create something truly dynamic and challenging. As a result, on every planet we see the same - a bunch of big shared loot mobs stand outside the gate waiting to be tagged, and for some obscure reason they call it "attack". Robot "attack", oratan "attack", khafash "attack" - same old chestnut.

Now, how about an event where the objective is to actually get somewhere? For example, to shoot through a herd of imperiums and click through some dialog with a NPC that takes staying alive in the middle of enemy crowd for at least 15 seconds (rationalized, e.g., as "deliver instructions to A.R.C. spy"). It doesn't need to be rewarded with anything material, an achievement (e.g. 'Imperium Installations Invader Spring 2016') would be enough.

That would take some collective effort and provide challenge for those who seek meaningful action - while those who just want to shoot some shared loot mobs would have ample opportunity to do so, too.

I've often thought about some kind of bar when on event spawn server, damage done by colonists vs damage done by mobs that moves back and forth. When bar is maxed then either colonists or mobs have won and consequences ensue.. such as tp lost for a month or some kind of special tt equipment at that location if colonists win the "battle".

Shared loot spawns are ok, but it does get a little old i have to admit. The best events imo were to loot an item or whatever "ahh the egg".

I am / have been watching this thread.

Haruto Rat is, to me, describing something more inline with the mission system and less than with the event things that we can do.

I'll be working closely with MindArk and Lilmc to have more Cyrene Events.
