Planet Cyrene March 2015 VU Preview

Yes that is exactly my point,
I'd like the armor as fun collectable since i missed a ton of those in multiple planets and times, and I'd use it here and there is why im doing it as i can, but even if i rush all the remaining missions now, I wont be able to do it.

A lot of people are just disgrunted for that exact reason, a lot of ped invested into getting access to this armor.

Any avatar who gained 100+ badges must be able to obtain the UL armor.
Gladly I finished the mission, but if I had like 100+ badges I would leave Cyrene and never come back.
Give the people what they came for! Hope you sleep well tonight.

 

A quick good sulution would be to open the vendor for 100 badges for like a day, and let people get the reward who have put in time and money into this.

Even tho it'd sound unfair for some, it'd work the best if its only for a one day deal.

People who put work into getting it will get it and won't lose faith or pass into working for the upcoming Stages.

If it stays as it is, I seriously dont think most would go past rank 1

 

I wont bother with an event.

wanna have that armor for 200 badges and 200 ped shrapnel

otherwise i take my loss and go cry elsewhere.

Why cut it off at 100? just because I only have 80 I don't count?

 

100 means that we invest enough in this! you have time to have 100 badges before the VU! if you do all the 1 time missions you have around 100

 

you can do some other mission to just push that small mission to push it there i think

 

Wassup peeps, just here to put in my 2 pecs. Really disappointed to hear that the UL armor will disappear, more than likely before I can get my 200 badges. And now I am about to look like a real A$$ to everyone that I have been telling to come to Cryene to get this set of armor. I hope that maybe we can come to some kind of solution for those of us already well into the badge collecting process(got 122 of them here), the 1 day special access to the vendor for those over 100 badges sounds good(maybe 1 day a week for a month, different day each week?). I am in no way interested in the L armor or L guns for badges(might be okay if we could sell them for profit, but that would defeat the purpose of collecting badges). And with that I will say I hope you guys can come up with a solution to make almost everyone happy, and keep interest in your Planet. I would hate to see Cryene become another Next Island!

 

What is this you pulling? first you get people excited, getting people to spend their ped and then you change the armours to "L"...???? Nobody want's that.

Cyrene is dead to me, like Next Island.

 

Would be nice if the vendor was opened for 100 or 90 badges or some such for a week or two, most people close enough would then be able to get remaining badges and buy the armor.

 

i already have the armor, i made sure i got it quickly as i sensed this happening, imo the armor is too good for the small amount of effort required (yea maybe 40-45 days, but only took about 20 mins to do the dailies), the presence of the armor caused upset on PCF and risked destroying the value of other low-mid armors.

maybe if a timer was placed from day 1 (like SC Viceroy) it may have avoided this. perhaps a fix is to leave a limited number of armors (35 M and 35 F) and when they're gone or when the next VU comes thats it.

remember tho, even tho they're limited the durability is 4x better, plus you can resell them

regarding the new mobs, will these count towards the iron missions?

 

Like several others in this thread (and surely even much more who don't vent their feelings on this forum), I am also absolutely disgusted by this change. Many people have come to Cyrene lately especially to put time and effort into this, in order to get the UL armor. Dedicating more than 30 days to 1 planet is something which should be appreciated by that Planet partner !

If this goes through as you currently plan, I will also totally empty my storage on Cyrene, take a warp trip to another planet and never ever set foot on Cyrene again.

This is MA's final blow to Cyrene.

I have already this armor since i rushed through it day 1. But if I were just shy of getting armor and then suddenly I'm not allowed to. It would be like taking a knife to the gut.

And I can safely say that I won't be doing any dailies anymore. Because you never know if the rewards will change when you're close to completing it. That's a huge fuckup and unacceptable.

Really a shame really. Fuc*ing MA messing everything again.

Edit: To prevent the death of planet cyrene.

I suggest ya make a npc which will convert your 100 a.r.c faction badges to a token which will allow you to get the set.

This would be fair to the majority who dedicated their time to complete all the one time only missions (99 badges from that).

And at least the backslash won't be that huge. And in the future no more fuckups like this.

register anyone who has badges at the moment this tread came on. People couldnt know about this before that moment

Give them a token

Make a vendor that does the same as the old one but needs a token besides the 200 badges in possesion and the 200 ped shrapnell.

Problem solved, no more new unlimited armor and noone wasted his/her money. Especially the one time ones were costing a ton.

If this situation will indeed be handled by removing the armor from the vendor, even for the people who are really close to finishing the mission, I must say its a huge disappointment for me.

The main reason I came to Cyrene was to get the unlimited account bound armor.
I can buy limited armors for myself from the auction, if I need them, same with limited guns, which I can also get on Calypso doing the daily missions and they dont run out of stock in 1 week.
By the time stage 3 comes, you may change it again, why should I trust you?

For a hunter like myself, there is very little reason to stay here, most likely Ill pack my stuff by the end of weekend and be gone, as I feel very shafted atm, deposited about 400 euros since I landed on Cyrene(and spend most of it). I could probably buy a decent armor for those 4k peds, but I said Ill give the planet a chance and now this.
I was really looking forward to the VU, all the stuff I could do with my new armor, was starting to actually like the planet more than Ark and Caly, but now its all gone. Seems like it will end up on my planet black list like RT.

I would like to congratulate A.R.C. with the successful raid at Imperium headquarter to get the bps for this armor! GJ .. Cannot even imagine what of a suicide mission that must have been.

Sorry that some ppl have to wait to get their set of ul armor now, and are forced to threaten to get it faster, but I think most of the ppl posting have no intention to keep playing on cyrene after they get it and will leave the planet anyway. I like to add that there have been a fair opportunity to get this armor with the time that have been, and there will allways be some ppl who have not reached the required 200 badges when the mistake have been fixed. I feel sorry for those who didn't get it, and hope they will keep trying to get the rewards, or atleast return when they realize that it is worth it. maybe this will make them try harder next time when the other faction release their missions

So much of the preview looks positive, but is it possible to celebrate? NO!
EVEN IF the newly available (L) armour is available repeatedly and tradeably (which could have certain advantages too), it is NOT the 'contract' that people entered into. It seems to me that the population of Cyrene has doubled or more in the last 6 weeks or so, with pretty much ALL of the experienced players coming from other planets wanting the armour!

I hope you realise that this is maybe your hardest hour right now. I am not writing here because I want the armour too (I'm on about 90 badges and not doing the missions intensively), I am writing to stress to you that you need to keep your side of any agreement, which in this case means providing a fair means for anyone already doing the missions to get the reward armour if that is what they want!

Now I don't know what MA will allow and what they won't (and what can be stopped or changed before the vu), but this is SERIOUS for the future success of Cyrene!

 

kjellings, most people will surelly not come back after things like this.
A lot i know instead of being camping daily have been here on a regular basis instead exploring the planet and enjoying while doing, cant really enjoy while things such as these go on.

Same as with most of the comunity being quite unfriendly planetside

 

thing is kjellings is correct, ive seen many players come for the armor and leave straight after getting it, or intend to leave when they do.

What i dont understand in this outcry is the L armor is 4x more durable, and you can buy freely when you have the badges, so if you buy them when you pass cyrene you will find the new armor more eco, little more inconvenient, but not the end of the world as people are saying
