FIXED Rifle Ranked HK1750 Range maybe bugged

Hi, problem with the Sniper Rifle Ranked HK1750 , it seems to have range of only 44 meters which is pistol range, not sniper range ..please investigate

Hey guys,

Looked at this today, and yes the range is quite low for a weapon of this magnatude. I'll see about increasing it for the next VU. However I don't feel that the HKs are snipers, the Enkidd Howlers fill that role on Cyrene.

btw . i said Sniper Rifle cause of it being the primary profession 'ie Laser Sniper (Hit)' required on the weapon , its not a Sniper rifle and not meant to be , but thanks for the reply on this matter.. ty

I can find the same problem with the Imported Assault Shotgun TEN Edition, it seems to have a range of 42.9 meters only which is range of a handgun too not an assault rifle of a hit profession of blp sniper and damage profession of ranged blp, that's too low imho, even handguns have a higher range. Also it is 1 damage point only to be able to take a dante? Shame! common it is TEN edition.
Would be much appreciated if you can investigate or check on this too Kris.

as u mentioned, its a shotgun so range cant be same like for rifles or carabines, sad but true
2 more dmg would be nice tho.

even real life assault shotguns have effective range of 100m and maximum range of 200m if you checked wikipedia, not saying that is what it should be here, but still not logic at handgun range too when new rifles in same category dropped in range of 70+ (Calytrek for example), so something in between would be fair.

talking about typical shotgun, that uses small pellets, effective range is 20-40 yeards, depending on the barrel type. i guess shotguns in games are meant to be typical.
ofc u can find ammo type (single slug) that allows to hit targets at 100-200 yards also, but expecting game shotguns to behave like this, is like expecting all swords to be laser Star Wars type.

in almost every game typical shotguns have similar range to pistols, they just lose their effectivness and power at longer range.

True, You are right. Unless it is named "assault" which kinda doesn't make it a normal shotgun as you mentioned & being TEN edition is another bonus too, would make it kinda special. Afterall it is the first TEN edition weapon from cyrene and I am sure there will be more TEN items.
It is all about a develpment review considering these points and other equivelent stats on new weapons dropping
