The forum will be moved to a new server somewhere early next week. I do not have a date yet, but will keep you updated when I receive one.
Once the move is complete, a short downtime is to be expected. There might also be a bit of time before all DNS Servers update, so if at some point you do not manage to connect to the forum, or receive a message the website cannot be found, it might help for you to flush your DNS cache (very simplified, it's a list of recently visited sites, and their ip addresses. Seeing the IP address for cyreneforum.com changed, the list your PC maintains is no longer up-to-date).
To do this, on Windows (Sorry, Mac Users, you're on your own. That's what you get for buying overpriced hardware), press the "Start" button, and type "Command". One of the menu options you should see is called "Command Prompt". Right-click that, and select "Run as Administrator".
When you get prompted to confirm you want to grant additional security permissions, click yes. Then, in the command prompt windows, type "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes):
You're done. The DNS Reference to cyreneforum on the old server should now be gone, and that should mean DNS servers out on the Interwebs will be asked for the IP address of the new server.
I'm looking forward to new shiny hardware for this forum to run on, and with a bit of luck, that will resolve a few of the issues we've been experiencing more and more often lately.
