Targeting Chip Drop Rate Problem

Neuromancer

Ok This is pretty much in your face.

And I'm a player of the month

But the targeting chip drop rate is evil.

I strongly recommend all players to stop crafting anything requiring targeting chips until the drop rate is seriously increased and spread over a lot of mobs.

I'm sorry Cyrene people but you are causing a lot of frustration here.

LOL, But remember we Don't know who's at fault here *points finger at MA*. With all the clothing Bps, new weapon Bps, and the ingredient modification on the Special Ops Bp. That is over 30+ Bp's which even some take 2-8 chips.

The drop rate needs to be increased ASAP.

Hey guys!

I'd like to take a minute and weigh-in, if I may =)

But the targeting chip drop rate is evil.

It's part of my take over Entropia Universe plan!

Step 1) Have very low drop rates of Basic Targeting Chips.
Step 2) ?????
Step 3) Profit!

(Developer's Note: I'm being facetious)

I strongly recommend all players to stop crafting anything requiring targeting chips until the drop rate is seriously increased and spread over a lot of mobs.

These chips are set to be available across a wide range of mobs on Cyrene (as this is a "chip" I'm sure you guys know which ones =p)

I'd like to point out that aside from the 8 BPs that were altered to not use the Basic Target Assessment Unit (which I think is more rare than the Basic Targeting Chip on Cyrene) the blueprints in the Turrelion blueprint book only take 1 Basic Targeting Chip per craft.

The drop rate needs to be increased ASAP.

I agree that the drop rate for this item should not be super rare as it currently is, however, I do not think it should become common either. I think there should be a fair balance to make this item be more available but not so available as it makes it have no MU.

I have already put in a request for this item (and a few others) to have their drop rates increased as soon as possible. I don't know when that will take place but I'd have to guess Monday Afternoon at the earliest.

Cheers,
Kris

P.S. While we here at Planet Cyrene do decide which creatures and areas do drop which stuff the rate at which they are dropped is not controlled by us. I think that maybe this post could have gone in a better way then "let's boycott any BPs containing X" to maybe "HEY! This is a serious problem with X". We do our best to have Cyrene with the players interests in mind and if there are issues we try to fix them as best we can (and not be evil).

i think that this loot ratio for chip could be ok if this chip was used only for unl weapons/armor/tools/etc

with MU and loot ratio it has now, no1 will craft clothes or L armors, cuz they would have sick MU, so no1 would buy them

Clothes and L stuff need another type of component, a bit more common... maybe wire harness? its rare enough atm i think.

Cheers

Please Note, That I'm not the ring leader of it this time Kris. But also look on bright side the things you do can have an personal effect on others. Beside it shows the creativity in the player base.

Thank you for your view on this Kris and opinions from other players. Perhaps a bit too dramatic, but hopefully this serious problem can be fixed soon.

Is it possible to change the title to "Targeting Chip Drop Rate Problem"

Exactly! I don't think it's about being the ring leader ;), yes, it's hard to balance everything a developer and not upset at least one person. I think that we have a ton of great players here on Cyrene I really enjoy any chance to try and connect with you guys and fix any issues we do have!

You're welcome! I know that this is a serious issue and it posed a serious problem so I can see the want to get it solved. I will change the title of this post with your approval.

I still think the drop rate might be a bit low even if only used for weapon/armor/tools, but, in the future we do plan to have different types of items for different things. We only used the Basic Targeting Chip for this VU as we are still having problems with other items not dropping correctly (Medium/High Grade Power Supplies).

I hope to have a positive update for this problem very soon!

Cheers,
Kris
