The Pleasure and Pain of the new Cyrene Textures

Oh jay, I think you jsut shorten life span of crafting now. When cyrene first came out Only Cyrene prints dropped, But at a later vu Caly prints were introduce this happens every category all the time. I believe its deliberate to have the Pioneers of Cyrene get the prints as they spend way to much ped trying to loot the bps before the Caly package comes in and every other loot is a junker from Caly. But if you want this fixed sooner keep talking about it

A lot of relevant info -on this and other topics- is available on fora for other planets such as PCF, where you have pposts from players who've spent years and years researching stuff. Rather than duplicate that info here, it would be a great deal easier to just provide links. But I, ummmm, can't find the forum rules *blush* so i don't know if it;s OK to do that?

FYI: Planet Calypso Forum contains all the original content of Entropia Forum, which was for many years the nearest thing we had to an official EU forum (since MA didn't supply one). for this reason, it was bought out by Planet Calypso at one point (hence the name change) ... then officially dropped again. Well there's a long and weird history here that i won;t go into, but the upshot is that PCF (or EF mk I, we might call it! ) still functions as a general EU forum, and still has a far better database and readership than any other. Thus when people want to say anything to, or about EU in general, they will usually go post it on PCF. Like it or not, that's how it is

Thus links to PCF are not normally attempts to recuit players to Calypso, nor anything like it, but rather to better-inform the denizens of other planets. Would be nice if somebody went to all the trouble of duplicating all the info there on CF etc...but realistically that's never gonna happen (especially given they could also break copyright laws in the process)

Also, it's pretty pointless posting PCF links in "Other Planets discussion" since they would seldom be about Planet Calypso, nor relevant to a discussion about Calypso. They would mostly relevant to topics on general game mechinics

Thus, IMO, if you stick to the letter of this rule, you actually screw with the spirit of it

I think the rule is not specific enough, As I my signature Links to PCF to my shop thread. Im sorry but if that's against the rules; That rule needs to change. We use PCF to Sell/Buy things as it's seen by way more players then any specific Planet Partner Forums.

ive used links to pfc here many times to link to info and never been reported or yelled at by cyrene staff. so i think its more about the spirit inwhich the post was made rather than a strictly enforced you better not do this rule

would be a bad descision to cut off cyrenes new player to the valuable info on pcf in my opinion.

Hmm , like i said in-game, you call them "junkers" but you are not a texturer. I find the (L) fabric prints particularly useful.

Also, like I said, I've been getting 1 print per 1k clicks here. Now, on Ark I would be getting at least that many Ark -specific clicks, as well as a flood of "junkers" (it's one if the reasons I walk so slowly- inventory too often stuffed full with unsorted prints lol. Not a problem here). So, I really do think those prints come in addition to planet-specific prints, not instead of 'em. (this from someone who's skilled texture-crafting up to level 29 )

Would be interested in hearing staff's take on this question.

I finally landed the Empis print The pattern suffers the same problems as Jelly texture...and, incidentally, shows up the asymmetry in that bugged (F) shirt!

Note the green spots only show up on the back of the Paradigm shirt, not the front.

Yes, I didn't fill them in and they are not bugged, it was just to show off the texture =) Although the shoes are already fixed in the test server now thanks to your tip).

Why isn't a single one of these textures listed on Entropedia.info, have the community given up on that resource? only Cyrene things I find there are weapons and a few armors.
