Well, it all started out so innocently (Ripper will beg to differ with that)
... I got my new PC set up, headset adjusted so that it worked properly, and Syer and I were testing the dual broadcasting over Skype on MSR.
Everything was going brilliantly until we added Ripper from Soldiers of Fortune to the conversation.
I SWEAR that he missed his calling, because he is a show in and of himself for sure, and you can't help but get sucked into his craziness and become a part of the many adventures and tales that are Ripper. When Ripper and Syer get together, it's comedy at it's best, but then we added Meculus (Blastoise) from cK Shadows and Kiri from NBK Elite into the chat as well, and then it got even crazier. I had MS9 in game and was getting a gazillion PM's from people about the show on MSR and telling me that they were laughing their asses off.
Moonie joined us almost at the end, which was over 4 hours later after beginning the broadcast (YES, 4 hours), and it was just pure, unadulterated fun. Although ... I'm afraid these episodes will probably have to happen later at night, like in the midnight hour since it would be incredibly difficult to bleep Ripper every time he got colorful ... that would be a full-time job for someone, and MSR is not hiring at the moment.
We are definitely going to make this a regular (weekly?) "
Rap with Rip" show since everyone was having such a good time. I can't remember how long it's been since I got that many PM's at once in the game.
It was ALL worth it though, because it was incredible fun. Ripper said ... let's do it again tomorrow!
... not sure the community could take you 2 days in a row, let alone in less than 24 hours.
I'll just put it out there ... if you're interested in joining us sometime during one of our on-air episodes, send a contact request to
mindstar-radio on Skype and I'll add you to the list. We are definitely looking forward to profiling players in the community too ... those who make Cyrene their home (newbie and veteran), as well as those who are providing a service on Cyrene.
We want to make a huge effort to do a lot of community-building and get everyone connected, so make sure you stay tuned to the MSR website as well, because we have an integrated calendar that will keep you updated on everything we're involved with.
See you on Cyrene!
