Weather?

Hi dev team

Will we see some weather. So far MindArk has dabbled in snow and fog, but we haven't seen thunder/lightening and huge storms! That would be cool to see!

Not to my knowledge. Although we are launching with Planet Cyrene specific features, I am afraid this is not one of them. So if it's something in the pipeline I will have to check and get back to you.

I pulled that one in from my computer ... I don't think we have animated smilies yet. That's one area they'll have to work on (eventually) so that we have more cool smilies, but I don't think that's a priority at the moment.

If you have an animated smiley that you would like to use in a post, then just use the "Upload a File" feature at the bottom of your post when creating it, and then place the image in your post.

We had some weather effects on Calypso but they were removed because they got annoying when hunting etc. So perhaps this may sound like a good idea but in practice not so good.

OK can I take a moment to moan a little here - you guys REALLY shouldn't tempt me. We've wanted weather and night cycles in Entropia for as long as I can remember. OK we got night cycles eventually and its been great (but where are the flashlights??? ^_^ ) but still not really anything like weather.

Now, I wouldn't normally moan but when Crysis came out it came with an editor and of course the first thing I did was drop in a bunch of vehicles, some tornadoes and a lightning storm made a right mess ... and I know NOTHING about 3d editing!

So.... how come you guys can't do it too? I don't understand....

I acknowledge that we have dynamic clouds following preset paths then resetting (poof - reappear) in some areas, as well as fog in others and I think there is rain of sorts above the hades crater.
