Each month we are trying to nominate a 'Cyrene Citizen of the Month', to show our appreciation to those who are doing something extra on Cyrene.
The title and prize for the Cyrene Citizen of the Month, August 2013 goes to:
Kjellings meets me in his blue shiny armor at the TP, but he quickly changes into something more comfortable orange/dusty fitting clothes!
"I actually started on ROCKtropia last year in August," he tells me "so my anniversary was this month, but on Cyrene." He smiles! (Happy Anniversary, Kjellings )
"I actually got to Cyrene right after Master Chief got his Citizen of the Month award," Kjellings continues while dusting off his orange shirt and continues "so it has to be at the start of October last year already, and I stayed here ever since."
As Kjellings tries out his new vehicle, I ask him what he likes most about Cyrene, and not surprisingly he tells me that he is thrilled every time he gets a new friend.
"I am a peoples guy so every time I get a new friend, I'm thrilled. It seems to me that for some reason the nicest people from different societies ends up here on a permanent basis, and if I ask them about stuff, their society can be at help when it comes to answering. And I think that's awesome," Kjellings face lights up in a big smile.
Kjellings tries to fly on top of some huge oil-barrels while I'm having a quick chat with one of my friends on the dusty ground. I run up to him to ask what he's doing and he shouts to me 'trying to get high - need to get even higher though ...'
Before climbing buildings with his DragonFly, Kjellings tells me that he loves flying the lancer too. Especially in between trees, he explains. What else do you like most about Planet Cyrene, I wish to know.
"What I like most here is the storyline," Kjellings smiles "and how the players affect this. So I try to hunt the dusters because I love the Turrelion story and there have to be gold in those old ruins." He puts up a mysterious grin and continues "I also like a long sweat-run with my good friends here because of the dialogue asking for help. I love to give them a good introduction both to the game and to Planet Cyrene."
"We need to get up to the crane," he suddenly says and starts the DragonFly. I get my lancer and follows.
"I do believe that Cyrene has too few auction terminals", he tells me on the way to the huge crane up up UP! "And if you could add street lights to the roads it would be cool. Oh, and PLEASE drop those hard probes or whatever that is next to the roads everywhere. Also I would like a small bar at the supply depot where I can sit and chat between hunting or mining runs, while waiting for the auctions," Kjellings smiles again ... he does that a lot "OH, and if it could be fronted towards the add screen it would be nice ... and maybe even a screen with live stream from the hub too ..."
Oh my, lots of fun ideas from this guy I think by myself, as I struggle my way up to the upper crane.
When we finally manage to get all the way up to the top, the view is absolutely stunning. I've been on many places on Cyrene - but have to admit that this view is one of the best I've seen! In front of us is the huge moon - and in the distance the mountains and buildings. Below us we see how the wind blows the dust around and the sound ... great sound from the wind!
While we stand on top of it all Kjellings tells me, that he wish it was possible to get hold on a shop so that the affordable crafting materials could be offered to the crafters so that the economy could be picked up here.
"The last view was ok," he explains with a serious mine "but it is still too expensive."
"I would love to try to get the big crafters here to craft components from oils and stuff that people TT on this planet. I believe this is a very important evolutionary step."
Great ideas, from a great person!
After a very fun meeting and great chat I decide to jump down from my high pedestal and fall all the way down safe to the ground. More than I can say about Kjellings, who happily follows and ... well ... falls pretty hard =)
He revives not too far from me and laughs while he says "I like my lancer a LOT by the way - but it really needs landing gear! It's too hard to spawn and I believe it's because of the big hub at the centre of the propellers."
"Ahh" I think by myself "not as hard to land as you are", and I laugh while I fade away in the TP.
Thank you so much, Kjellings for meeting up and for being a part of our awesome community and for helping making it even better We wish you the best in future, from the whole Planet Cyrene team!

How to become Cyrene Citizen of the Month
This title will be given to a dedicated player on Cyrene, who is doing something out of the usual to make the planet a nice place to be for newcomers, creating some great events for other players, providing the Cyrene Team with valuable information about the planet or/and suggestions of how to improve Cyrene etc.
It could be something completely different, of course, as long as it is a positive approach to improve other players experiences on Planet Cyrene.
The Cyrene Team will make the nomination for the Cyrene Citizen of the Month, but you are always welcome to write me if you have suggestions, with a name of the person and the reason for why you believe this person deserves to be nominated.
Thank you =)

This was said about Kjellings in his nomination:
"Kjellings is a specific individual who has been around on Cyrene since the start. He has taken numerous fresh noobs under his wing pointed them in the right direction and showed them the basics of Cyrene and EU. He has even saved me a couple times from the big mean Fenris. I'm honoured to call him a battle buddy."
I meet Kjellings at the Inner Turrelion Outpost (124523, 78230) were he is handed over the prize, a DragonFly Helicopter (L):
