How I became a cyrene pioneer

These are good times, with epic expectations to this vu and all... and since i have reached a milestone myself, sweating 10 000 pedes, i would like to share with all of you my way into this lovely planet...

I started my journey on rocktropia last august as a nondepo sweater.. this planet is not made for sweatloners, and i begged my mentor to travel the planets with me. So he did, busy as all ubers he came to take me around to try out the different noobmissions and sweatarenas. I sweated all noobmissions; punys, boars and carabooks, but all of them was full of stress and running noobs..
-The last planet i came to visit was this planet Cyrene... -what a planet- first i couldent get myself through the city of janus to start exploring, bechause of the high level of graphics (I didnt check out janus until i got myself a new computer..). Then i went to Hunting Grounds to find what to become my greatest joy here, the crystal pedes. With their 30HP(30 sweat) and minimal damage, i soon figured that this was for me and my adventure could start.

The advantage sweaters has, is mainly the time it take to gather the sweat, so i have had alot of time to think and plan my tactics of how to survive here. One thing is obvious: i have to make ped to stay here! the loot from the pedes alone was hardly enough to pay for the ammo and decay, but i did the daily missionchain... There i found the merfolken, and they could at times give a big loot of muscle oil.. so much that tt-return on muscle oil alone paid for the whole hunt on them.. At the time there was none or only a few hunters here, but alot of crafters who crafted as h*** to get bonding liquid blueprint.. so i was alone on the market for muscleoil.. therefore i sold muscle oil at 120%-140% so they could craft their simple I conductors.
This small, but steady income was enough for me to start mining for oil, lyst, yellow and zorn star. I crafted basic filters from oil and lyst (and got lots of bps), and sold yellow and zorn star to a nice mu...
-From time to time i went to caly to sell my extractors.

The second advantage sweaters have, it that they have to sell the sweat to the other avatars. This planet uses alot of sweat for crafting, everything here uses sweat. So when you sell the sweat, you get contact with the crafters directly. This means that you can offer them to buy your stuff to mu and you dont have to pay the auction fee. all these small things contribute to survival.

The third and maybe the biggest advantage is all the defence skills you get from all the battling for sweat. This is the first and biggest step to be a good hunter.
-----
Now i have deposited to get a good armour, gun and a good healer.. this i had to do bechause i wanted to hunt a bigger variety of mobs here on this planet.
-----
Finally i want to tell all you who start here at cyrene now, that if you find something you make peds on, stay with it.

I agree with Kjellings. Swunting is important for new players On top of lil loot and chance of decent loot sometimes the sweat gathered and skill gains make it more worthwhile then just hunting alone. You will stretch ur ammo and is very constructive :) Happy swunting Also Cyrene itself has a few dailys that will give combat and engineering skills

If one does not want to play with pedes, the panelions are also a great mob to sweat. They don't hit hard and can give decent loot as well. RIght by them are the dusters which, while you can't sweat, are fairly fun, have dropped guns and such before, and along with the panelions, there is a daily mission for them that pays in skills. There really are plenty of daily missions on the planet to keep you busy for a while and the MU on the tokens is really good right now.

I too started out on RT, only to get disgusted with the planet owners apparent total lack of anything player orientated really. The loots dried up and the place just .. started to really suck. I left, I discovered Cyrene, where I have found a community of really decent people who are willing to help you, a lot of fun missions to keep you going, and a 'admin base' that was truly involved with the planet and was willing to work with you, listen to you, and above all, talk to you like you were a real person and not someone barely worthy of their attention.

I like to call Cyrene my home. I have obligations on Ark that I attend to, but Cyrene is my home now.
