How to contact members on the forum who have set their access to private?

I am not sure how to contact a member of the forum here who has their profile set to private.

I respect privacy and understand that this can be a good feature, but It can also be abused by cowards and trolls who wish to spread slander or carry out personal vendettas without having to answer for their actions.

Thanks for any info on how to PM anyone here on the forum who has their settings private

Have you tried sending the person a pm through the pop up when you click on their avatar picture?

If that's not possible - then I guess a person, who wish to be private - doesn't want any pm's
