Acro
Adept Prospector
Hello everyone Acro here (adept prospector) I've been playing Entropia for about 3 years now. First year and half I basically spent on Calypso. Spent about 6 months on Rocktropia and took a year off due to school and work.
I started playing again a couple weeks ago and decided to come to Cyrene cause I hadn't seen it yet. After spending 2 days on the planet looking into things I decided to stay
I've heard alot of people bashing Cyrene because the economy is new and small and there's a lack of players, ores/enmatters mobs . The statements are true, but if you get to know the planet and economy you can see what will happen if the project and full launch are successful.
1. The graphics are great!!
The planet looks alot nicer than calypso, the style so far is good and appealing.
2. The token system is interesting
I've heard complaints about the token system but I think it's interesting. Daily missions for tokens, armor molds for crafting bought with tokens, weapons and more. I'm currently working on crafting the scout armor, I have 3 pieces done. (nobody I've seen on any planet has a full set yet cause this is all so new.) It adds a part to the economy and makes certain armors and weapons worth more!
3. There's room for profit and trade on Cyrene
The economy is new and PED do not move fast compared to the other planets, but there is room for trade and profit. Certain resources are needed by high level crafters and since many ores/enmatters aren't available on Cyrene, things like Force nexus and mind essence have to be imported to support players with implants ect.Planet specific ores/enmatters are also needed!!
4. Mining seems to be good!!
My main profession is mining and I like to mine alot!! I've had both good and bad mining trips on Cyrene but overall it's ok. I've hit 2 globals so far and a XII, a IX, couple VII's and VIII's. Like I said I've only been here for a little while so these stats aren't bad. I've found some nice locations/mining fields too!!!!
On occasion the planet may be a little glitchy but it's not that big of a deal (I mean come on, it's a virtual planet, these things happen)
5. Hunting is alright
I don't hunt much but I have hunted a bit on Cyrene. The mobs look good and drop a variety of different things. I hunted scout bots to get low grade electronic components to craft scout armor. The dire weeds are interesting to hunt. I hit 40 PED on a low level mob a few days ago. Nothing big, but then again, I don't hunt high level mobs. (I do see them around Cyrene when I fly in my Sleipner but try to stay away lol)
6. Crafting seems to be growing
I see more crafters coming to Cyrene which means the economy should slowly take off. The more crafters there are, the more hunters and miners are needed to get parts. I sell resources to a few crafters currently and also try to buy tokens so I can craft too. (plus it helps the new players with some PED)
Overall, I like Cyrene and plan to stay on it, just leaving to trade and explore on occasion.
I'm trying to help out Cyrene by buying tokens and sweat from new players. (I bought 32k sweat from someone other day, what am i gonna do with it all? lol) I also sell supplies to people and give directions to locations and missions in hopes they might stick around a while and check the planet out cause it's actually a real good design and setup.
Hopefully a few more players will start hanging out at A.R.C HQ and we can really get this planet off the ground, I'm looking forward to the full launch!!!
Now, let's all go HOF on CYRENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
