New to Planet Cyrene

It is a free to download free to play sandbox 3D MMORPG.
You gain skills and profession levels based on what you do.
(Shooting a gun gains you combat lvls, crafting something gains you crafting levels)
There is no limit to what path or branch you want to choose.
While free to dl and play everything in the game can be purchased or sold for real money so it is possible to win big or loose big depending on the type of activities and risk levels you take.
Cyrene is unique to the game in that it introduced Arena style pvp with the opportunity to win or loose based on different risk lvls of your choosing.
The economy is very important in this game and all activities revolve around it in one way or the other.
Cyrene is currently in its softlaunch stage, so what you find logging in is not the finished product, though I am sure you will still find plenty to do and explore.
Download it and try it out, post questions here on the forum and learn where people are hanging out etc... get to know them in game and someone is sure to show you around and get you started in whatever profession or activity you think would be fun.

Welcome to Planet Cyrene and the Cyrene Forum ... it was nice to meet you in-game at the ARC HQ where people were kind enough to give you some basic information.
People are helpful here at the forum as well, and if you have any questions, please ask, and I'm sure it won't be long before they are answered, but ... explore the forum first because you may find the answer to your questions posted already.

I can only imagine a few equally qualified to answer a newbies questions as narfi is (not at all sucking up for the pros) so, like narfi said, don't be shy. Now my two pecs: It's a sandbox game where you yourself form your fate. The different planets offer different themes (however it is not fully developed yet, but that is the plan). Planet Cyrene has chosen a theme where the actions of the collective player-base changes the world for the better or for the worse, e.g. like Ed (the top-notch guy in our quarters) said, if the players focus on one part of the map that part gets better, while a neglected part goes for the worse; this is something unique within Entropia Universe and on the different planets (of which more will come).
Planet Cyrene will launch fully in the summer, but is of course very playable and has quite a few people at the moment. It is a very attractive planet and I advise you to check it out.

Planet Cyrene is one of many planets in Entropia Universe, which you can visit through space - and the newest being launched with a soft launch the 1st of May. We will soon have a hard launch where even more features will be 'finished and implemented. In the mean time explore the forums and the planet too There's so much to discover in this world, and even more to come.
