Finally the moment has come where we can reveal the launch date of Planet Cyrene.

As many guessed in the Guess the Launch Date of Cyrene contest on EntropiaPlanets, Ed aimed for March 13th as the original launch date.

However, to make sure some very important systems on the planet could be fully tested before release, the release date has instead been set to May 1st 2012.

The planet will be released with a soft launch, meaning that it will not yet get the full PR and we might hold back on some of the content. We would rather have a little less content that works, than release a lot that potentially does not meet the high standards we aim for on Cyrene.

has there been any changes in release date curious as i know things can happen dates change ... issues may occur and what time on may 1st if no change .... 1 week away omg i think im gonna have a heart attack waiting lol

As far as I know (and got an update yesterday) nothing has changed. The soft launch is still set to be May 1st =)

So polish your armour and your gun ... it's gonna be lots of fun!

Is there any official who can tell us at what time the planet will be open, or is a secret?

I believe the time all depends on MindArk, and for how long the updates will take, sorry

Question 1: Cyrene will have at launch date a good weapon system (as the one of Arcadia planet who was a good, powerful weapon system) ?

Question 2: Cyrene will have at launch date a good crafting system with specific planet blueprints and minerals ?

1) There will be a weapon system available at soft launch, which will be gradually developed.

2) Planet Cyrene will launch with a limited amount of BP's that will use the items unique to Cyrene. We will however release many more for the hard launch to be a little more fair for new players

Hi Lykke;

Are we still a go for launch on 1st May 2012?

I hear the current Robot wars are running for another month on Calypso.

Out of interest will Cyrene have "Attribute" reward missions active on launch date? (I'm sure you're heard about this, it's a hot topic). Not that it matters, a new planet is always exciting.

Hope to see Cyrene in all its glory in less than a week.
