Many thanks Loren for that great account that I read in your linked thread.
I'd like to ask your opinions about the potential value of this gun in either (L) or un(L) form, and thus whether it is actually WORTH anyone clicking or not now that we know what comes out?
I ask because of my continuing questioning of the economy assumptions of the crafting chains as they start to become clear - although this ones helps hardly at all for what was already known out there in the crafting chain apart from bonding liquid.
My thoughts are: tt of mats maybe 20 peds per success (mu unknown but at least another 20 peds on top). Residue 130ish tt (140ish with mu). BPs for sale will start off being 100 click ones - value depends on clickablilty.
So, cost to make without BP cost is about 180 ped minimum for 150 ped result. Auctioned at 185 peds = 123%, minus 3 peds auction charge and 'a couple' of peds for the BP per success would be break-even (from admittedly very rough calculations).
So..... it COULD work out as providing mu on the mats and the bp maybe worth 65 peds or so as the mission reward.
BUT.. is the gun worth buying? Are there people at that level who start shooting mobs at that distance with intent to damage and not just tag (who don't already have something unl)? Would that hunter therefore put an amp on it too?
Is it a gun that people have been waiting for?
I'd love to hear your opinions
[Edit] Beechbum writes: The materials required to click this BP total 30.97 ped TT value - the rarest of which being the Ycy Ingots.
[edit] This pushes up my estimated minimum auction sales price to around 200 peds, so 133%ish. I don't know the Bravo, mentioned as a gun competing with this. Yes I could look it up, but maybe someone with thoughts on the Cyrene development can mention it in passing
