I don't think that a new player coming to Cyrene should be expected to read a year's worth of forum posts, VU release notes, and spend hours chatting in-game before questioning something. That's just not fair.
My first post on the loot of the boss summoned with a cube got blasted with a shit storm of ignorance. The Jellyworm looted as intended. It was not bugged. It is SUPPOSED to loot blueprints. I wanted to know WHY Cyrene would put worthless blueprints in something that is supposed to be "pretty special" for hunters. Kris answered my questions. Unfortunately not before the "locals" grabbed their pitch forks and started ranting about me not reading the forum... me bitching about something that's been knowingly bugged for a long time.... bla bla bla. They didn't even stop to think that maybe it wasn't a bitch about a bug at all. They figured that because SOME bosses are bugged then that must be my problem and started mouthing off about it. So the very first post I made that turned into shit is a PRIME example of what MindStar speaks about. I knew the risks of ending up with a boss that may dissappear after it gets killed... but we didn't get that boss. There are others that aren't looting properly. We didn't get those either. We got probably the ONLY boss that is working as intended. Yet it was a bug bitch thread? No.... it was someone new stepping out into the open and being blatantly STONED by the locals.
I think in my situation you're being a bit excessive here. I mean... I understand you've all talked about the broken stuff for the past year and feel that you dont' need to hear it from a new player to Cyrene.... but unfortunately it's gonna happen m8. Move to a non broken planet if you don't wanna hear newcomers saying "WTF?". (By the way there are none so don't bother packing. )
I'd also like to point out that by the time I had finished spending my first $1000 U.S. on planet Cyrene I don't think I had seen any of you here yet. (Doesn't mean you weren't here... just means you weren't that noticable.) I don't know how many of you have been here since day one actually PLAYING (I know there was a blast of people that explored when the planet first opened). Maybe all of you have. Maybe none of you have.
Since day one I have said that I wanted to "move" to Cyrene. Only now is it becoming viable economically for me to do so. Embrace the new players to Cyrene. They will only increase your returns (AFTER MU.) in the long run!
Cheers,
EDIT: I'd also like to add, that I don't think I deserve preferential treatment because I spend money like an idiot. I want to make it clear though, that I'm one of the few that spend money like an idiot who WON'T take my loots away to another planet! Even when I came here in the past to hunt. I spent until it was all gone and I needed to deposit again before I left. I don't loot goodness and run away with it.

Mindstar,
u talk nice and fluent, but im sure u still u didnt take a look at the mood of older players here when they see newcommers rumbling around "this is not working, there is a bug, this is all rubbish, we need this, we need that" etc... i think its important to be polite and listening when u enter places different from those u got used to, to fit in, not to break in. (im not talking about u, just general, like if u were traveling, lets say to China?)
One of many things i learnt past a year here is patience about how its getting developed. Cyrene made enourmous progress, but there are areas that need alot of work still. We got forum where we share data that help developers. If there is something u consider a bug, report it in the Bug subforum, but use search before, also check VU notes cuz maybe its mentioned there as not working yet. If some1 dont do that, yes it affects our mood cuz its avialable. Ppl provided here many useful data, maps, lists of missions, locations, tutorials. Why do u think ppl share this data? Not for their own, cuz they alrady know that things. Its for newcommers. And all made for free.
I think that statement "our planet" cames form being proud of taking part in helping at development of Cyrene. At least its how i feel and understand that.
I hope we gonna understand eachother better, if not yet, then soon
Cheers
