Warning - load Cyrene content before you take off!

Hi,

this is an advice for the not-so-smart among us, like myself.

You might want to visit Cyrene, for exploring, for seeing something new, for fun, challenge and entertainment. Or for whatever reasons.

Smart ppl will load the Cyrene planet content beforehand. Not-so-smart ppl like me will not do this, will travel space for ages, only to realize at a certain point that the download of about 500 MB is required to land.

We not-so-smart ppl will have to wait in space for ages, depending of the DL speed our ISP offers. This is no fun, really.

Be smart. Download first, then take off. Your experience will be a lot better, trust me!

LOL lost my passenger this way once.. too funny as he said he simply downloaded the content and then floated to the planet aferwards... only to find himself at the revive terminal at the space station.. He took out his vtol and flew to the planet

Anyway, perhaps for further flights with customers, make them aware of this?

Yep now I ask before I take them to space as another time the person didn't even have space updated!! He just fell back to the ground!!

Both times I should have asked first.. I felt bad and gave them both free rides.... wait all my rides are free!! I just take donations!!

made landfall finally. What a mess! Downloading there, out in space, a sitting duck ...
I couldn't bear the tension anymore, continuously checked space for incoming pirates, until my ISP showed some mercy and disconnected me.

Relogged on planet then, after a quite long downloading session in the client loader.

Cannot believe I made such a mistake myself, how often have I preached to others to d/l first ...

Anyways, I'm on Cyrene now. Let's have a look what it has to offer ;-)

Hello my dear friend - good to see you have landed on the planet. I'll try to catch up with you today, or as soon as I possibly can so that we can get the FL thingy done like we talked about.

Glad to see you here at the forum as well - do let us know what your experiences are, because feed back really helps the C-Team assess things and what will work better, or fix something that needs fixing.

Welcome to Cyrene..... Yea I did that after I got my new computer .. but I was passenger and then stuck floating in space in the glitch
