So I've been to Cyrene a couple of times.... well maybe a dozen. Each time finding the biggest mob I can kill, dump 4 or 5k PEDs into the system... then leave several days after arriving.

Earlier in the week a SOC m8 and I decided to come and piss about on Cyrene but do some of the noobish stuff in an attempt to really take the time to explore the planet and it's systems.
In a nutshell... It's a very refreshing planet! But I have to know... How do you survive? I mean... I'm trying to justify "moving here" so to speak. I KNOW I'll have to travel to get weapons because there's just nothing around at my lvl (laser pistol maxes at 65 ish).
Cyrene specific loot seems to sell for now.. but I never see anyone crafting. Why?

I'm a player who would easilly dump many thousands U.S. into the economy annually which I'm sure Cyrene could use in these early stages. I'm kinda liking the idea of being a "pioneer" in a sense that I could grind through all these missions (which there are tons of by the way!) before the planet gets "too busy" and the loots from the mobs become TT fodder (Another bonus). I'm just in knots over the thought of travelling so often OR... buffing my PED card so that I can spend 10k PED on weapons at a time... I mean.. I'll burn through 2 or 3 EP-54 Fury(L) in a day when I'm off work no problem. At over 300 PED/gun that means I've gotta make 2 or more trips to caly and back on a weekend OR... deposit a big chunk that would be banked for weapon runs and not "played with".

Guys like Tacotuesday.... Agis... How are you guys getting by? Is it maybe worth the grind to try and loot something mid-level and UL weapon wise so I can just repair? I've never had any confidence in looting gear at my level. IMO it's never happened after 5 yrs and near 30k U.S. deposited and it never will. I'd REALLY like to spend the next few mths getting all the current missions done and preparing for this place to get wild with players. I really DON'T want to fly around all day every day for equipment.

The other thing I would REALLY need is a good fap. I use SK-80(L) but I think something with 60-80 hp x 20/min would be enough for now. What faps are out there on Cyrene? Any?

- about items on cyrene: their lev req is progresing with level of player base.
atm u can loot some L guns for lev 55-60: plasma pistols and blp rifles. some plasma pistols for lev41, that use dante amps, are craftable. there is also ranked scorpion unl for lev 45-50 to loot.
faps, well lets hope we will notice the lev progress here as well. im not sure the stats of some new one, ie Imperium Fast Fap v2 (L) - could be good.
i travel to calypso like few times a month to sell some things like esi, or resupply myself, so its not a problem - just a 20 min of flight in quad.
- about loot and getting even... well u addressed ur question narrowly, but Agis will reply for sure ;)

Travelling through time...
We are visiting Calypso frequently. If you don't like to travel too often then you can just ask someone if he can transport whatever you need from Calypso.

I'm flying to Calypso at least once every month and stay there for several days until i sell all my loot and buy whatever i need before i go back to Cyrene. It is just how it works.

If you hunt a lot and want to stay longer on Cyrene, you will need unlimited gear imho. In any case, you will probably have to fly to Calypso every week or so, in order to sell looted items and buy whatever is required. The market on Cyrene is just emerging.

There are crafters on Cyrene, not many, but some are to be found, mainly at Supply Depot.

Most use ul gear here if they hunt a lot. Also if after 3 years your still at lvl 65ish and hunt a ton you may want to consider drowning yourself

Players really have an opportunity to help develop Cyrene based on their game play, and IMO, worth making the investment over time. And besides, it has a pretty tight-knit community that is very helpful. :thumbup:

Planet Cyrene is still very 'new' and we are constantly developing the planet. As you might have read from earlier news, Planet Cyrene's development is depended on the players actions and activities. The more players joining, the more activity, the more will be released, the healthier economy - just like any other planet. The More Player-Buzz = The More Player-Business!

I hope you and your buddy/buddies will like it here and be a part of the positive growth we have going =)

If u between lvl 50-90 finding weapons on Cyrene is a huge problem indeed. A few pop up on the market now and then but that's rare.
Almost makes me regret i haven't bought UL SIB...
Found a workaround for now, by going over to the MindForce camp. Those new nanochips are cheap and handful lasts for a long time. But when i reach my goals in MF, prolly have to start flying between Caly and Cyrene more frequently too. :(

Nevertheless, Cyrene is the only meaningful place to be atm.

Back on Cyrene after a quick Key run on Ark.... still having fun here. :)
Had our first hunting hof yesterday in team... "Tourists Get Better Loot" (As we were told by a player that she "hates fucking tourists") :monkey_slap: Couldn't break the 1k PED mark but it was close at 935.

Ill make sure theres some level 50 + weapons for 125% next week when im back from holidays, just taking a retreat from cyrene for the moment - losing alot of ped too lol :)
