Bug Report Zorras EPIC bugged or really shitty business model?

I finished long time ago the mission. I discovered the Zorra's HK Rifle

Many players complain alot on forum about Zorra's Rifle and about Ecotrons. When i read that, i always feel they think Cyrene have obligation to give them those weapons easily. But you all forget that, MA control all loot and drop rate. Planet Cyrene did a great work for repair broken things. Show me another planet where you are 100% sure to find a UL weapon like Zorra's Rifle. There is not, only Cyrene have this.
Now that work, spend more time on Planet Cyrene and you'll see, a day the riffle will be your.

By the way, if you are not ready to loot any crystals yourself, you can buy them from other players. There is 1 or 2 drop per day when there is hunters on the area. More hunters mean more drop.
Since i told you all how it work, you all can do math Don't forget Zyn'dos have many maturities, small one have only 550hp... No so hard for you i bet

Kris have to work on quantity of mobs on the area, with the last PPVU, it's a pain to hunt there, we have to run and climb mountain a lot.

I recommend to do some research about Lazidol rare items and the drop rate, i feel another drama if you get the greater Crystal a day.

There's a lot of great feedback in this thread, and I think it's worth noting that I think this statement makes the most sense:

As the poster above pointed out, you should probably have all or most of these crystals by the time you finish the mission chain.

Now that we've been able to make this 1st change to have these crystals actually dropping (which again, we are always watching the drop rate and it's something we can continue adjusting) we've thought about different ways to streamline this mission a bit and make it feel a bit better for players.

However,I'm hesitant to add the crystals to every mob that's part of the mission, to me it breaks the story line, only the Zyn should have these crystals. We also thought about adding them to the past missions of the Zorra chain as sort of a random reward, you kill a skreel and you have a very small chance to get a crystal, but I'm personally worried for how that would make the veteran players feel about it.

That being said, it's something that we are committed to for the long run, something we want all players on Cyrene to experience at one point or another in their journey here. We're going to keep working on it.

Kris have to work on quantity of mobs on the area, with the last PPVU, it's a pain to hunt there, we have to run and climb mountain a lot.

I think we can improve the number spawns. READ: we can have more spawns, but in the last update (April 10th) we globally reduced the number of mobs spawned in spawners across all of Cyrene.

I'm keeping an eye on this thread and look forward to more feedback from all players that are undergoing this mission or considering an attempt.

well, I finished this mission up to receiving the prototype. Now its time to grind for crystals. I sure hope both crystals are dropping.

When I looked at all the crystal drops since the update I was encouraged. I'm also working on this mission as my primary goal right now. When you look closely though it seems like there was a flurry of Weakened Crystal drops in the first two days, but now nothing in over a month. Lesser Crystal seems about right. Perhaps hunting pressure isn't at the level it was just after the update, not sure, but it does always seem like the rare stuff goes within hours of an update/event, and then nothing. Every other run I'm doing right now is on Zyn'Dos trying to get lucky, hopefully I'll make this list soon.

I'm keeping the faith!

I see the drop rate of weakend crytals is nowhere close to lesser crystals so wondering any progress in that matter ?

In which I've seen in the reports more are dropping, it's not yet to where we want it but it's an improvement and we're continuing to work with Mindark to continue adjusting while also keeping an eye on it via the reports.

I should have updated this thread as well.

After I get more information maybe the best thing to do is consolidate this into one central thread.

Is there any update regarding this? I've been grinding and killing many thousands of Zyn's and I've only been able to loot lesser crystals. I tried going with Merfolk for a while but was unable to loot anything.

Zyn'Dos, Merfolken, Muckjaw, and several others. " in a previous post but then kinda flip flopped in a later post saying "I'm hesitant to add the crystals to every mob that's part of the mission, to me it breaks the story line, only the Zyn should have these crystals."

So I'm not sure, are both types of crystals available on other mobs or are they only on Zyn's? Also has there been any more thought regarding refining the crystals? Perhaps 1 Lesser Crystal (20 ped tt) + 10 Cryene mission tokens = 2 Weakened Crystals (10 peds each tt)?

Love to be able to complete the Zorra mission but it's feeling like a futile attempt with weakened crystals not dropping at a reasonable rate (at least according to the hof board and my own experiences)

Honestly, I gave up on grinding for these crystals therefore given up on ever obtaining my zorra. I'd come back to Cyrene in an instant to continue this quest if the crystal issue is resolved.

We did add in a refinement, however, it was added when weakened were dropping more and lesser weren't dropping.

I will talk to MA to see if there's another refinement we can add to help this situation.

This is something that we are actively working on with MindArk, but it's a delicate balancing act that we have to ultimately defer to MindArk, but it's never something that we aren't working towards.

I don't propose to know the inner workings of the loot system but my logic was thinking that your chances of looting a crystal take into account your returned loot value/multiplier. The higher your loot TT value to more likely you are to get the larger sized crystal. Maybe the cost to kill a Zyn is just high enough to make the Lesser Crystals more likely to drop?

This was my working theory and was the main reason I wanted to try looting a crystal off something smaller like Merfolk. I figure, smaller mob - if it's going to drop a crystal maybe the smaller average TT value of loot will force it to give the Weakened Crystal since it's a lower TT value?

But I wanted to confirm that those crystals are even in the loot table for mobs other than Zyn's before grinding several thousand peds into them.

Several days later, grinding about 7000+ peds into Undersea folk Scout - Warrior and no crystals of any kind. Considering I was getting about 1 Lesser Crystal per 3k peds put into Zyn's I'm gonna call this bugged. Merfolk are the same. I didn't loot any during the 11k killed for the mission and even when I went after larger ones later I probably cycled a good 5k+ peds into them and didn't loot a single crystal of any kind.

I asked the last few people who looted weakened crystals what they had looted them on and they all said Zyn's. Which is odd since it they weren't listed as one of the mobs that should drop Weakened Crystals.

So I don't know, I'm saddened by these results. I've done everything in my power to try and complete this. I've put in a LOT of time and money going through the grind but I think I'm going to have to mark this off as officially UNCOMPLETABLE until something major is fixed.

I can't help but feel somewhat cheated... Part of me wonders is this has been designed to be this way by MA. I have a feeling they don't want people to be able to acquire decent UL gear though missions. If a refinement is added to convert lesser to weakened I suspect the drop rate of lessers will also be dropped off to oblivion to compensate.

I am on Cyrene for about a year now. Just recently I have finished The Merfolken Initiative, which means at least 18000 kills. Not a single drop of a power crystal whatsoever from them.

EDIT: On a similar note:

- Fine Hide has been added to all mobs that drop leather.

So, 3 months later since this post... any word?

The super short version is that the summer is quite a slow time to get information due the large summer holiday.

Once everything got moving again we've been thrust into the VU/Mini Patch right away and there's a handful of answers that I'm still waiting to receive, this is one of those answers.

I hope that now being past that cycle for the time being, I'll have some updates for you guys and a path forward for Cyrene.
