If people are going to a particular area a lot, it's because they like it how it is. To react to that by changing it to something different is ridiculous.
What you're proposing is akin to a restaurant saying "Hey, we noticed that Item 44 on the menu is really popular - so we've decided to stop making it and replace it with something different!"

Well to be far remember this wasn't the original plan for the planet. The plan was to fight the mobs (or what not) to pick sides to then have big pvp wars between each other with our mesh vehicles. But since MA didn't pull through with both these needed systems this is what we got now. I didn't know PP got this much information back from MA about their planet. unless they will be using EntropiaLife?

Is it possible to recognize the top X contributors to an area? It doesn't need to be more statues, could just be a text on an item or npc somewhere. Maybe a small personal estate for really big things!
I know i have mined everyplace many times, but like another post said, im sure we will have to do things 100,000s of times to upgrade, but that will be fund, and Yes Deeds would be nice, i would like to invest in my own planet, seeing as i live here and die here

This will make good android app for every brave colonist to check the progress while hunting or mining out there away from the PC terminal.

What is better killing 10k mobs, finishing a specific mission finding a tower or finding five small mining drops?
And is 10k missions enough, or are we talking 100k missions in total?
it makes sense that the areas can go into decline again too, but i am wondering what will happen to the missions then?
You just have to wait till the area increases in level again, and will your progress be saved then?
Also is there a fixed timespawn you use when you determine when an area goes down in level? And will we be notified before so we can become more active in that area?
Also is it possible that a very high level on one area automatically means another area can't grow? For example we help the imperiums a lot, which can led to a.r.c. being a small forever for a long time?

It looks like our work will make this temporary new area regrow, or is this projected out to what the 'old revamped' area is going to look like?
Finally us working a lot in an area to unlock it, bottom line, we sink XX $$$ into an area (profit for MA and you) and this will open. Please don't get swis... err I mean overly greedy and make the returns on an area so crappy that nobody will want to hunt there.
you want us to invest in Cyrene via time and effort (translating out to some ped influx), and as a reward we get new stuff to invest in. This sounds fair, BUT again, please don't set the 'return to us' so low that we get clobbered with like a 50 percent return. THAT WILL drive folks away and for good too i'd be willing to bet if you do that. Just saying.

The data has to come down to us, then we break it down and insert them into this map. For now the plan is to update approximately every 3 weeks or so.
I am currently working on the best way to try and integrate this map into the game AND be able to keep it updated in the game.
If the area does go into decline, the missions will be unable to be completed and flagged in the title as well as in the mission description, for example:
Mission Name while working: Ridin' the Zeladoth Wave (event)
Mission Name while in decline: [INACTIVE] Ridin' the Zeladoth Wave (event)
Note: (this is just the in house name and my not reflect the name if/when it appears in game).
The plan right now is if the area goes two map updates without ANY growth it will start to decline. If an area has no update after 1 map update, it will be marked and notified in map and text that the area is in danger of decline.

Deeds will be separate from this, and we do plan to sell some deeds after the Hard Launch.
It's more complex than that, as there's also a factor of player activity that has to be checked as well. We know that a lot of players play differently so we'll be trying to eliminate a "best" way and try and treat types of play fairly.
