MindStar 9
Hoping for the Best
On July 15, 2011 - Ed Robles 3rd (CEO/Creative Director) invited me to join the Cyrene Writing Team. It's been an incredible year from many perspectives. However, in light of "New Directions" with the MindStar Media Operations (a different kind of MMO ), it has been decided that it would be best if I were not in an official position with Cyrene.
It was my decision, but Ed fully understands the dynamics involved, and that having an official avatar would be too restrictive with regard to the expansion of the media operations. I know everyone doesn't know exactly what that means yet, but I will be doing another thread later regarding those details as well.
Ed and I are not severing ties in any way whatsoever, we are just rethinking alternatives with the writing, and have maintained the connection with regard to future projects. Besides, my association with Cyrene is strictly storyline development, without being involved with the day-to-day planet operations, or game-play mechanics.
I'm sure you will be seeing my writing in some fashion or another if Ed has his way, but for now, I'm tucked away in his back pocket - he doesn't give up so easily - especially when he says that good writers are hard to come by, and specifically one that works so well with his writing style (thank you Ed).
The plan is ...
At any rate, while no longer a Cyrene staff member, I will still remain one of the Moderators at the forum and help out to cover time-zones in my neck of the woods. Besides, our "Mommy To Be" Admin will have her hands full in the not too distant future.
My thanks to the community for the support, and I'll still be here posting, but as a civilian now. There is also discussion going on about the possibility of me doing a front page article now and then as well, so that will be cool. Lykke and I have worked together for a long time in that respect, and were just about attached at the hip when we worked on the EntropiaTimes magazine series - lots of production-heavy hard work, but also lots of fun. Our friendship goes back over 6 years now and counting.
As mentioned, I'll be posting more about the MindStar Media Operations later so that everyone knows where Syer, Fang and I are heading with it, but in the meantime, you can click my signature and check out our MSR website - or place the following URL in your media player to tune into the radio stream ...
http://78.47.95.116:8000/stream ... copy and paste the link into your media player, don't click on it.
Cheers ... and see you on the planet as soon as my Prince Charming shows up!

The plan is ...
- my official avatar will be removed from active duty as soon as MA can do it
- MS9 will be awakened out of her cryogenic chamber by Prince Charming
- and the purple power will shine brighter than ever (Cyrene has lots of purple)
